Conrad Misener's little house is passed down to his middle son, Nicholas. Nicholas has four children: Tryphena, Chloe, Arthur and George. The property is passed on to Arthur, who, in about 1900 builds the large brick house still seen there today. The little old post and beam house by the barnyard slowly falls into disuse until, by Arthur's Death in 1961, it's in ruins. At that time Myrtle Scroggie, Arthur's daughter, donates the building to Westfield Pioneer Village which is just then being established a few miles to the north. The house is moved in one piece on a flatbed truck and placed in the new heritage village. Glenn Kilmer and Goldie MacDonnell, the village's founders carry out a renovation which restores the house to respectable condition.
