The photo shows the bridge as it is today, still in use and locally referred to as the "Red Bridge".<br /> Over the years , the bridge has had many restorations with the help of fundraising and government grants, from 1939 through to 1997 when the piers were replaced.<br /> Presently, the bridge is the second longest covered bridge in Quebec measuring 151.59 m. (497 feet and 3 inches) in length. It is constructed entirely of pine.<br /> The original pine lumber for the bridge was from the farm of Augustus Brown's farm near Beachburg ,Ontario, Canada.
