Later, Finlay Young and Tom Buck had a flour mill in Killarney, and finally Harrison Bros. built a flour mill in Holmfield. They already had an elevator there, so we considered ourselves very fortunate in the long run.

There was no mail delivery to Old Cartwright until 1882. Clearwater at that time was the nearest post office, a distance of sixteen miles. T. S. Menarey was appointed postmaster in 1882. Mail was brought in once a week by carrier, A. James, for seven months, then from November, 1882 until Sep- tember, 1886 by G. Widmeyer.
